End of Year Contribution
Make a Gift to St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish Through Your IRA & Save on Taxes.
Normally, a distribution from your IRA is taxed as ordinary income. If you are age 70 ½ or older and interested in reducing your taxable income, please consider making a direct contribution to St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish from your IRA.
Federal tax law allows eligible individuals to satisfy all or a part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and help sustain the work of our parish through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Individuals that do not have an RMD, but are over age 70 ½ are eligible to participate.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution:
- Must go directly to the charity (e.g. you can not receive the funds and then write a check to the parish)
- Makes the most of your charitable gifts. A QCD to St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish is NOT taxable income for the donor; so it reduces your Adjustable Gross Income.
- Can potentially reduce your Medicare premiums if you are subject to IRMMA surcharges.
- Satisfies your RMD.
- Helps the work of St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish.
In 2025, the maximum QCD allowed is $108,000. It increases to $115,000 in 2026. If both spouses meet the age requirement, each individual is entitled to this benefit.
An IRA QCD is a very simple gift to make and redirects your hard-earned money from income taxes to St. Anne Roma Catholic Parish. For more information about how you and St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish can benefit from an IRA charitable rollover, contact your IRA administrator, tax preparer, or the parish office.
Please prayerfully consider making a gift to St. Anne!
