"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." (Mt 28:19-20)
Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation, therefore the gateway to all the other sacraments. Sanctifying grace, faith, hope, love, becoming a child of God, and therefore heir to the kingdom, bearing his permanent mark that says we belong to him, being washed clean of original sin, receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit, participating in Jesus' mission as priest, prophet and king, born again as a new creation…receive these and other realities as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit take up residence in your soul!
Parent(s) need to be registered Parishioners for at least 90 days prior to the baptism. Since baptismal dates are not set until all documentation is collected, it is best to begin preparing right away; the process can begin during pregnancy. For infant baptisms, the first step is setting an appointment to meet with our Baptism Coordinator, Sister (Lupita) Maria Guadalupe Hernanadez-Torres at (480) 507-4434.
The Parents/Legal Guardian of the Child are who chose the Godpartents for infant Baptisms. In order to be a Godparent, the following requirements apply:
