Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)
September 06, 2015 7:00 am · Father Dan Vanyo

We heard in the first reading from Isaiah, where he is telling the reader of a time of a great healing. I don't know if you heard all of those details. The eyes of the blind will be opened, the ears of the deaf will be cleared, the lame will leap like a stag. Just wonderful imagery, a great time though of healing. In the Gospel, Jesus manifests that. He opens the guys ears, and he can suddenly speak clearly.
We can tell the Lord is present sometimes when we see healings or we hear about a miracle. The doctor is like, "I don't know where the cancer went, there is no sign of it anymore." We all know stories of that. And it's beyond scientific and medical explanation. I don't know it just disappeared. People pray to manifest His glory, and He provides miracles of healing.
