Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

September 27, 2015 5:00 pm  · Father David Mbimadong

Homilies, Ordinary Time

entry.speaker.one().title

Today, the first reading and the Gospel speak of two people asking their masters to stop somebody or some people from preaching the Word of God because they did not belong to the group. But we'll look at it later. The Scriptures are full of interesting things today. But we will reflect on the aspect where Jesus said, "If anyone causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin, it would be better for that person to have a a millstone tied around his neck and cast into the sea." These little ones, little ones always belong to families. We look at our bigger family as the church also.

God has entrusted the responsibility of parents to take care of their little ones, their young children, so that they'll groom them for a better life. But from time to time, when children are going astray, parents fail to help them to be on the right footing, and so they let them go astray and many things happen. Bad things and these young ones, when they become adults, they become social misfits.
