Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)
January 24, 2016 7:00 am · Father Dan Vanyo
We've all heard the second reading before and it is very very important, and there's a lot of directions, avenues that you can travel with that reading. But one avenue, which is just foundational and important to remember because it can be easy to forget at any given moment is that as we are members of one body, and I would like to focus on the word one, we need to stick together. Because that's just the way it's got to be.
If we're members of one body, we've got a head, and that is of course is Jesus Christ, is our head, and we are the body. Now you bring in of course the spousal aspect, the matrimonial aspect, that Jesus is married to the Church, his body, and the two will always be together for eternity. They are inseparable.
