Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

July 26, 2015 9:00 am  · Father David Mbimadong

Homilies, Ordinary Time

entry.speaker.one().title

For those of you that came in early, you will hear a double sermon. Because our Pastor gave a summary of five Sundays concerning the Blessed Sacrament. This is the first of those Sundays, and we are reflecting on the miracle that Jesus worked. When the people came to look for Him in a lonely place, they found Him. He taught them, and He realized they were hungry, and He fed them.

Since the Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time till today, Jesus has been leading us little by little and bringing us closer to understanding who He is in the Blessed Sacrament. Last Sunday we ended at the point when the Gospel said, "Jesus stepped out of the boat and He saw the people. They were like sheep without a shepherd. And he set Himself to teach them at length." Today we continue from there. When He had taught them, He realized they were hungry. He performed a miracle.
