Homilies, Readings, Lent

entry.speaker.one().title

Dear St. Anne Family:

As I announced in yesterday's homily, I am sending you a written meditation from the Spiritual Exercises for Women that the Catholic In Action Ministry organized last Summer in California. The reflection revolves around the gospel we heard in today's Holy Mass, that of Mary of Bethany anointing Jesus’ feet.

This meditation ideally would be read in the greater context of the other reflections that were prepared for those Spiritual Exercises. Without that "everything", somehow the teachings of this evangelical scene are incomplete. However, I also think that they can be of use to many other souls, especially in these days when access to Holy Communion has been limited or suspended due to the spread of COVID-19.

Although it was prepared for that group of women, I trust that it will be useful for those who, men or women, will now read them with simplicity of heart and a spirit of prayer.

I pray for all of you and for a life-changing Holy Week.

May the Lord and Mary bless you all,

Father Sergio
