Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

July 05, 2015 5:00 pm  · Father David Mbimadong

Homilies, Ordinary Time

entry.speaker.one().title

As we celebrate the Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, our Scriptures call on us to become prophets, where about we find ourselves, and whether people would listen to us and change their habits or not. We should go and proclaim the message of God, and let them know that there is a prophet among them.

From the first reading taken from the prophet Ezekiel, God called Ezekiel and sent him to his people. But the Lord God told him, the people were rebels, they may not listen, but he shouldn't be afraid. He should go all out to proclaim the message. So also is the Lord God calling every one of us. Everyone of us who has agreed to be baptized into the Lord Jesus Christ is made a prophet and should be ready to go out proclaim the message of God to the whole world. Where ever we find ourselves, we should not keep quiet because people are pointing fingers at us.
