Fifth Sunday of Easter (Homily)

Fifth Sunday of Easter (Homily)

Homilies, Easter

After the all the Masses this Sunday we're doing a little focus on pregnant mothers and a blessing, so this has a touch on a Pro-Life theme this morning. Yesterday I received an email from one of the women involved with 40 Days for Life, I know you are all aware of 40 Days for Life and the good work that they do. It is entitled "Gruesome photos of forced abortion in China, confirmed authentic, China express outrage by LifeSite news.

There's a picture here which you won't be able to see from here, it's a 23 year old who was forced to have an abortion because of the 1 child policy they have in China.  That's the body of her 7 month old next to her, I guess they put it into the bed afterwards.  It looks like that's the placenta below it, but the image has been distorted just over the baby so it's hard to see all the details.  There's another one of a baby laying in the grass, it looks like a bag is there.  You get the point.  This policy goes to the rural areas, they'll go out to the villages and enforce this.  In this case the family failed to pay the equivalent of a $6320 fine, probably couldn't pay it, so they gave her an injection to kill the baby.  These are just a few of the bullet points, but this is happening all of the time.  Later in the article it makes a point to say China's 1 child policy is aided by the United Nations Population Fund which received $50 million annually from the administration of U.S. President of Barrack Obama.
