Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Homily)

Today the text from the Book of Job opens by lamenting our human condition.
Job says all that we live for in this life is like forced labor. It's like a slave who has been tasked to do his duty, he has no pleasure, no comfort. This is how life would be like if we do not have God at the center of our lives. We would work hard, rising in the morning and coming late to bed in the evening, without making God the center in our lives there will come a time that when we will feel we are like robots controlled by our desire for miserable wages.
