We are called to turn towards the lord, our ultimate good. In this time of Lent, we are asked to be detached from the world and make a lenten sacrifice. It is a time of self-reflection to consider our spiritual wellness, and evaluate ourselves. We are not only giving up something for lent, in turn, we gain so much more through these sacrifices. We should strive to maintain the spiritual growth that is gained through Lent, even all the way after lent.
