The simple fact that Jesus acknowledged and spoke to a Samaritan was shocking, to say the least. The amount of hatred held by the Jews for Samaritans was incomprehensible. How many times do we get annoyed, and cannot stand individuals in our lives? We know we have to forgive them, but it is a process. In order to forgive fully, we need to start small. We can ask simply to want to forgive those who we hold rancor for.
