TIMELESS ALERT NOTICE: Addressing Scam Texts and Emails
This message is a few years old, but still applies.
Hello St Anne Parishioners, Volunteers, and Staff,
We have been made aware of scam texts and emails impersonating Rev. Keith Kenney and other leaders in our community. These messages are outside of our control as it they are not part of the tools we use here at St. Anne. If you receive a text claiming to be Fr. Keith, please know it is probably not him. The real Rev. Kenney will not ask for money in a text.
We highly recommend that you call the front office before making or providing any information related to purchases or giving information that is of a personal matter. We do not use text messaging for personal information and generally do not use text messaging for correspondence other than to provide change information to our schedules.
Our effort here at St Anne is to make sure that we use Flocknote and our St. Anne website to inform our parishioners. If you choose to use text messages with Flocknote, you can add it's phone numbers to your contacts. You can verify Flocknote messages by signing into stanneaz.flocknote.com and checking whether the message you received also exists on the Flocknote website.
If you think something is odd or suspicious, please call the parish offices before giving out personal information or making any purchases.
We encourage everyone to be vigilant in checking the email address and phone numbers of the person you correspond with.
We are sorry this scam may have caused trouble for some of you.
If you have any questions, please call the parish Communications office at 480-507-4477, and we will do our best to help.
