The purpose of the Ladies' Auxiliary is faith, friendship, and service. The Ladies' Auxiliary provides the opportunity for wives, mothers, daughters, granddaughters, sisters, and widows of Knights of Columbus members to come together in fellowship with the primary goal of providing assistance to the St. Anne Knights of Columbus council. We also assist St. Anne and its community, and provide help to charitable organizations within the community of Gilbert.

Greetings in Christ,
In celebration of our beloved Saint, St. Francis of Assisi, we will be celebrating the Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 6th @ 1PM in the Church Courtyard.
St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, cared for the poor and sick, he preached sermons to animals, and praised all creatures as brothers and sisters under God. Animals are our companions on earth, whether they be house pets or domesticated livestock; creatures great and small. We receive much from them: comfort and protection, as well as labor, food and clothing. This blessing is not about the created object, it is about us and our use of those objects, for the greater honor and glory of God as revealed in his creation.
I’ll close with the words of Pope St. John Paul II in his message on the World Day of Peace: Peace with God the Creator, Peace with all of Creation
“It is my hope that the inspiration of Saint Francis will help us to keep ever alive a sense of ‘fraternity’ with all those good and beautiful things which Almighty God has created. And may he remind us of our serious obligation to respect and watch over them with care, in light of that greater and higher fraternity that exists within the human family.”
One last thing, last year a woman asked me if she could bring her husband to be blessed. I will just clear this up again and say, NO!
Yours in Christ,
