About the Funeral Ministry
"The Lord is close to the broken hearted." ~Psalm 34:19
Vision: To provide assistance to grieving families during this difficult time in planning and preparing for the funeral liturgy of a loved one.
The Funeral Ministry helps facilitate the funeral reception for families and friends of the departed by providing the set-up, serving and clean-up of the social hall. All receptions need to be catered by the families. The Funeral Ministry is always looking for volunteers to join this vibrant ministry.
Arrangements for funerals and receptions are made through the parish office. The parish office can give you the contact information for the funeral and reception coordinator.
Bereavement Support Classes are also offered by the Funeral Ministry in the spring and fall. The 8 week class gives grieving families a supportive and safe environment and is an opportunity to meet others experiencing loss and is a time to share feelings and information.
If you are looking for the times and dates of a funeral for a family member, friend, or acquaintance, this information is regularly published in our Funerals group on Flocknote.
