Catholics in Action - Young Adults
In collaboration with Catholics in Action Corp., St. Anne provides a ministry in which young adults learn about their faith as well as grow in community with other young adults.
The Young Adult CiA Group is composed of 18 - 35 year olds who are interested in learning about Catholic Action Spirituality. Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. The meetings begin with mandatory Holy Hour from 7 to 8p.m., followed by formation in the San Juan Diego chapel from 8 to 9p.m.

Activities, Events, News, and Information
Please consider signing up to feed our teens (total of 50, including volunteers)! We have plates, utensils, drinks, napkins, etc. - so all you have to bring is the food! You can cook it yourself and drop it off or have it catered. We meet after the 5pm Mass in the church hall. Dinner starts at 6pm.
God bless you for your generosity! Contact me if you have any questions.
There will be no CiA Culture meeting Thursday, 11/1. Instead, we encourage you to attend the Spiritual Exercises organized by the Parish! It will begin with obligatory Mass at 6:15pm. More details for the event can be found by clicking here.
Edit: Father Sergio will be giving the talk Thursday. However, you are invited to attend the exercises every evening this week in the parish from 6:30-8:30pm.
Have a blessed rest of your week!
Greetings in Christ,
In celebration of our beloved Saint, St. Francis of Assisi, we will be celebrating the Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 6th @ 1PM in the Church Courtyard.
St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, cared for the poor and sick, he preached sermons to animals, and praised all creatures as brothers and sisters under God. Animals are our companions on earth, whether they be house pets or domesticated livestock; creatures great and small. We receive much from them: comfort and protection, as well as labor, food and clothing. This blessing is not about the created object, it is about us and our use of those objects, for the greater honor and glory of God as revealed in his creation.
I’ll close with the words of Pope St. John Paul II in his message on the World Day of Peace: Peace with God the Creator, Peace with all of Creation
“It is my hope that the inspiration of Saint Francis will help us to keep ever alive a sense of ‘fraternity’ with all those good and beautiful things which Almighty God has created. And may he remind us of our serious obligation to respect and watch over them with care, in light of that greater and higher fraternity that exists within the human family.”
One last thing, last year a woman asked me if she could bring her husband to be blessed. I will just clear this up again and say, NO!
Yours in Christ,
Our Paintball Event, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, was again a success! Many new smiling faces that joined us today – Blessed be God! I gave them a teaching from the Divine Mercy devotion on Spiritual Warfare, which Christ gave to St. Faustina. I told them that the formula for sainthood is perseverance through our failures and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, that He walks with them always and that they are never alone! A special thank you to all who helped out and supported us – Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary, The Crossley family!
