The purpose of this ministry is to provide an avenue for young families within the parish to grow in friendship and community with one another, offering support and encouragement to both parents and children as they walk along their spiritual journey. All families with children from infancy through elementary school are invited to participate in this ministry. By fostering the growth of friendship and prayer within our own families, we hope to bring the light of Christ to the Church and the rest of the world.
“Thus the little domestic Church, like the greater Church, needs to be constantly and intensely evangelized…the family, like the Church, ought to be a place where the Gospel is transmitted and from which the Gospel radiates…the future of evangelization depends in great part on the Church of the home.”
- Saint John Paul II

Greetings in Christ,
In celebration of our beloved Saint, St. Francis of Assisi, we will be celebrating the Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 6th @ 1PM in the Church Courtyard.
St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, cared for the poor and sick, he preached sermons to animals, and praised all creatures as brothers and sisters under God. Animals are our companions on earth, whether they be house pets or domesticated livestock; creatures great and small. We receive much from them: comfort and protection, as well as labor, food and clothing. This blessing is not about the created object, it is about us and our use of those objects, for the greater honor and glory of God as revealed in his creation.
I’ll close with the words of Pope St. John Paul II in his message on the World Day of Peace: Peace with God the Creator, Peace with all of Creation
“It is my hope that the inspiration of Saint Francis will help us to keep ever alive a sense of ‘fraternity’ with all those good and beautiful things which Almighty God has created. And may he remind us of our serious obligation to respect and watch over them with care, in light of that greater and higher fraternity that exists within the human family.”
One last thing, last year a woman asked me if she could bring her husband to be blessed. I will just clear this up again and say, NO!
Yours in Christ,
St. Anne will be holding tryouts for this season’s youth production
