Please pray for the repose of the soul of John Young. He volunteered in a few churches until he could no longer walk well and joined the Knights of Columbus at St. Anne when he moved here.
John leaves behind his wife Lana, and daughters Cheryl and Lisa. He was born August 9, 1941 and passed into eternal life August 12, 2017.
The funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne Friday, August 25th at 10 a.m. Visitation is private.

Sullivan, James F., M. D.
He was born after the depression in Pennsylvania. He fulfilled his Armed Services requirement at the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, AZ. and was appointed Field Health Officer at the Indian Reservations and Clinics surrounding Phoenix. After three years in the U. S. Public Health Service, he practiced as a Medical Doctor, Family Physician near St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center ’til 1991. Then as an Emergency Room Physician in Steubenville and Zanesville, OH. He returned to Arizona and worked at Nursing Homes throughout Maricopa County. He retired just three months short of his 80th birthday. He died unexpectedly in his sleep after midnight on Thursday, December 3, 2015 and went Home for the holidays. Beloved spouse of his wife of 57 plus years, father of six treasured children, four boys and two girls, with eleven darling grand-children, deeply loved by his family, his patients, and the nurses with whom he readily shared his compassionate and knowledgeable care. His Funeral Mass will be at St. Anne Catholic Church at 440 East Elliot in Gilbert, AZ. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family would deeply appreciate your having Holy Masses offered for the Holy Souls in Purgatory addressed to St. Anne Catholic Church, James F. Sullivan, deceased, 440 East Elliot, Gilbert, AZ 85234. The Mass will be followed by a video, eulogy, Rosary, and Mercy Chaplet. It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Mary Cady, wife of Deacon Joe Cady. The viewing and rosary tonight, and the funeral, tomorrow, will be for both Deacon Joe and Mary Cady.
Services for Joe and Mary will be as follows: Visitation Tuesday, July 5th from 5:00-8:00PM (Rosary will be at 7:00PM) at Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home located at 1562 E. Baseline Road in Mesa, Arizona 85204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday July 6th at 10:00AM, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church located at 141 N. MacDonald St. in Mesa, Arizona 85201. Burial will follow the Mass at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road Mesa, Arizona 85204.

Today we mourn the passing of our good buddy Joe Cady aka. ‘Papa Joe’ aka. ‘Deacon Joe’. Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents Stanley Cady and Marcella McGinnity Cady. Joe was 78 years of age at the time of his passing. Joe graduated from Central High School in St. Paul with the class of 1955. He attended the University of Minnesota where he studied Business Administration. Joe also attended Humboldt Institute, an airline school in Minneapolis. He hired on with Western Airlines in Minneapolis as a full-time ramp agent 04-24-1959. Joe worked all areas while in the Minneapolis station, from ramp to passenger service. In 1968, Joe accepted a position in Flight Control as a Ground Service Coordinator in Los Angeles and the Cadys made their move to California. In 1973, Joe moved up to Assistant Manager over the ramp in LAX, then over Passenger Service. Joe was promoted to Station Manager at Pierre SD in 1974, then on to Rapid City as Station Manager in 1976. Next stop, Station Manager at JFK from 1982-1983. The Cadys headed back to California in 1983 when Joe became the Station Manager in Fresno. Western merged with Delta Air Lines and Delta decided to pull out of Fresno in 1998. Joe transferred to Phoenix in 1998. Arizona was where Joe wanted to retire and retire is exactly what he did in 11-01-2001.
After retiring from the airlines, Joe pursued his calling to become a Deacon in the Catholic Church. Deacon Joe was then able to volunteer time to local hospitals and was the Airport Chaplain at Sky Harbor/PHX Airport for many years. Joe was able to travel and enjoyed his retirement years until medical issues required his full time attention.
Joe and his wife Mary were married in October 1959. Joe is survived by his wife Mary, daughters: Lisa (D. Paul) Lannom, Lori (Paul) Sauer, Sons, Scott (Mahnaz), and Brian (Shirley); Brother Jack, sisters, Mary Kay (John) Mc Quade, Maureen (Thomas) Larson, and their 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with many friends and co-workers.
