Catholics in Action - Young Adults
In collaboration with Catholics in Action Corp., St. Anne provides a ministry in which young adults learn about their faith as well as grow in community with other young adults.
The Young Adult CiA Group is composed of 18 - 35 year olds who are interested in learning about Catholic Action Spirituality. Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. The meetings begin with mandatory Holy Hour from 7 to 8p.m., followed by formation in the San Juan Diego chapel from 8 to 9p.m.

As you may have seen here on The City, we have a very RARE event happening on September 9th at St. Anne being hosted by your ministry: Catholics in Action.
A little bit of background for ya: Gianna Beretta Molla is a saint of the Catholic Church…she was also the former president of Catholic Action!! She is a beautiful example of a person who pursued holiness in her family and service. She passed away giving birth to her last daughter, Gianna Emanuela Molla, who will be coming to St. Anne to speak at a marriage retreat.
Also that day, we have Crystalina and Jason Evert speaking. You can check out their amazing content on their blog at chastityproject.com.
For this, we are looking for volunteers for hospitality. This is a great opportunity to make others feel welcomed and show them true Christian hospitality. If you would like to help, please assign yourself below.
More details for the event can be found here.
Thank you for all for using your time and talents to help out with this event. It will be one to remember.
More details on how to help coming soon!
THANKS to everyone who came to the last meeting, and those who have been participating in CiA in general. For those of you that were not able to make it or couldn’t fill out a survey, here is the link that will allow you to fill out the survey online:
Stay tuned for more announcements for CiA throughout the Summer. Godspeed and have a fantastic Summer!
Today’s youth paintball event was so awesome! I want to thank all the youth/teens for coming out, I always have a blast with you all! Thank you to the Knights of Columbus who cooked and helped make this thing possible, and also a huge heartfelt thank you to the parents who helped us in any way, shape or form. God is never outdone in generosity.
After lunch, we talked about the Armor of God, from Ephesians, and how the very first line tells us to be “strengthened in the Lord,” because if left to our own self, we cannot give ourselves what we don’t possess - faith, peace, hope and love. “Put on the breastplate of righteousness,” to not only guard our hearts from what the world offers, a false peace, but having it prepared for the coming of Jesus at every encounter, every trial, every new day he offers us to fall deeper in love with Him. God bless you all.
In Mary’s arms,
Just a reminder for tonight’s event with Fr. Dan! We will be meeting from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Monastery Grill, in Mesa, Az. Here is the original post…
Struggling with your faith? Life a little overwhelming at times? Having some trouble finding community in the church? Well, step out of your ‘self’ for a night and come build another person up - that’s fulfillment. Come and build relationship with other young adults who are in the same struggle and share in the same love. Young Adult Night with Fr. Dan is for the purpose of solidarity: through Him, with Him and in Him - a Christ centered and joyful gathering. Catholic or Atheist, purple or pink - all are welcome!
We will be meeting on Monday, March 6th at the Monastery Bar and Grill in Mesa. This location offers ping pong, volleyball, cornhole, horseshoes, fire pits, and the option of grilling your own burgers or steaks. How cool is that? You can even bring your dog. Please be sure he doesn’t bite Fr. Dan. Peace and God bless! Can’t wait to see you! Have a blessed Lent!
May our Lord increase our desire for all things Holy!

Dear fellow Parishioners:
Hello my name is Agustín “Chacho” López and I am a student at Mesa Community College, as well as a staff member at St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish. This summer I have the wonderful opportunity to engage in a unique study abroad opportunity offered through Mesa Community College. The Mexico Study Abroad Program is a four-week academic program that offers academic coursework and a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about México and Mexican culture while living with a host family. This program also includes a pilgrimage to The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
I am excited for this opportunity to further my academic goals and to broaden my global perspective. While the cost of the program is relatively reasonable, I am still looking for funding to help make this unique opportunity a reality.
Your help could make this once in a lifetime opportunity a reality.
I would like to ask for a donation to help offset the cost of the trip. Any amount will help me, but I am looking for a minimum contribution of $100. This amount may be tax deductible to you or your organization. This would help me realize this educational opportunity, religious experience and it would also help create goodwill between neighboring countries. Please donate thru https://www.gofundme.com/kyh58258.
Thank you for your consideration of my request.
Agustín “Chacho” López
P.s. If you have any questions whatsoever about the program, you can contact the director, Mr. Jaime H. Herrera, professor of English at Mesa Community College.
